About Us

The ABC Training Trust is a registered charity (no: 1123559) set up by the Association of British Climbing Walls (ABC) in 2008 to administer the NICAS scheme. The Scheme is supported by the British Mountaineering Council and the Mountaineering Council of Scotland as well as Mountain Leader Training UK, Mountain Leader Training England and Mountain Leader Training Wales.

Board of Trustees

The ABCTT has a board of trustees who are all members of the ABC. They currently comprise:

  • Guy Jarvis (Chair) – Undercover Rock, Bristol
  • Jon Wilson (Treasurer) – Calshot Climbing Centre
  • Andy Reid – Mile End Climbing Wall, London
  • John Dunn – Manchester Climbing Centre
  • Ian Dunn – Climb UK, Rochdale
  • Simon Jenkins – Avertical World, Dundee

 

The ABCTT will be seeking more trustees from Awarding Centres outside the ABC as the scheme grows. Applications are welcome.
