NICAS partners with the Urdd for the 2023 Urdd Urban Games

NICAS is delighted to announce its partnership with Urdd Gobaith Cymru for this year's highly anticipated Urdd Urban Games. Taking place in Cardiff from 16th to 18th June, the event marks a significant milestone as bouldering makes its debut in the Urdd Urban Games.

We are proud to join other outdoor partners such as the BMC (British Mountaineering Council) and DMM in providing an impressive array of prizes for the event. These include NICAS branded goodies, chalk bags and other climbing kit, ensuring participants have the chance to be rewarded for their outstanding achievements!

Our accredited centre Flashpoint Cardiff (formerly Roc-Bloc) will be hosting the bouldering competition, which promises an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators alike. Details of the competition are as follows:

Following the huge success of the Urdd Urban Games 2022, this year's participants will have the opportunity to engage in an even wider range of urban sports including not just bouldering but also BMX, skateboarding, 3x3 basketball, street dance and breakin' at the iconic location of Cardiff Bay.

If you haven't heard of Urdd Gobaith Cymru (or Urdd for short), it's a fantastic organisation dedicated to empowering young people in Wales through cultural, educational, and sporting activities, fostering personal growth and community engagement, and promoting Welsh language and culture. Our partnership with the Urdd exemplifies NICAS's commitment to supporting youth development and promoting active lifestyles.

Log files

Log files allow us to record visitors’ use of the site.
